Below is the roster/ship listing for the United Earth’s Starfleet. Our list is broken down into categories of ship classes and the names that have been assigned as well as their status.
The first explorer vessel built by UESPA. Maximum speed was warp 1.7. Ships were named after fallen comrades of Doctor Cochrane who perished in an unprovoked attack by unknown attackers, the day before First Contact. Doctor Christopher Emmette was Cochrane’s mentor and close friend.

|Emmette||NA-01||2101||Mothballed/Museum 2131||CO: Captain Moira Hathaway (current Starfleet CnC)|
The first cruiser developed by the UESPA in an attempt to develop a class of ship that can support operations in the Sol system. Ships were named after companies that invested into the project. This would be the only time the UESPA would receive financial backing from private civilian firms.

Originally based on the NB-class, this class would become one of the most recognisable and distinguished classes in the fleet. The class went through many changes but is famous for its versatility and module components. Ships were originally named after Greek myths, then with each sub-class were given a range of names.

The need to stop relying on freighters was apparent by the UESPA, as such a new ship was built to be modular and used for a range of short-range transport type missions. All ships of this class are named after capital cities on Earth.
|Canberra||NE-03||2126||Active||Captain Calista Vaughn (American Female)|
|Reykjavík||NE-06||2128||Active||Captain Preston Norris (New Zealander Male)|
The UESPA built the Freedom-class in an attempt to expand its exploration arm. All of the ships of this class are named after early explorers from Earth’s history.
Primarily designed for pure scientific research, the NG-class ships were laboratories with warp drives. They were decommissioned due to their limited size and range. All of the ships built were named for counties in the United Kingdom.
Gas Giant Surveyor
Bred purely for research to be conducted on the gas giants in the Sol System, the NH-class had thicker hulls and the best deflector fields the UESPA had to offer. After their mission were complete al of the ships were decommissioned as their warp drives only allowed them to go to warp one. All of the ships were named for early astronomers.
The NI-class was designed with protection in mind and the need for a smaller ship that could lift off from a planet surface to provide escort duty. They were quick, able to achieve warp one and were easy to construct (six months). They relied on test worthy technologies and would later be operated jointly with the Earth Global Defence Force. The ship only required twenty people to operate. All the ships were decommissioned in favour of classes that could last longer in a fight. The ships were named using synonyms of the noun Protector.
Originally designed to be the next generation in escort duty and another class designed and operated with the EGDF. Only three Judicial-class ships were built. Each one was assigned to law enforcement and protection of the three major shipping lanes between Earth and Alpha Centauri. Disaster struck though in 2143 when two of them were lost while defending Earth Cargo Vessels from unknown attackers.
NK-class (Manta Ray-class)
Troop Transport & Rapid Response Vessel
Designed to be used by the MACO division of the EGDF, the NK-class would give the MACOs that extra reach to be able to deploy their soldiers and equipment to a hotspot quickly. Due to the design of the ship (it has the ability to land on a planet), it looked very similar to the Manta Ray fish species from Earth. As such all of the ships are named for different types of Rays.

A small ship, it was the first class designed by the new branch of the UESPA (Starfleet). It would be the test bed for several systems, but only one ship was created. It mainly operated within the Sol and Alpha Centauri systems.
Another one of Starfleet’s first classes designed. Starfleet engineers were experimenting with different hull configurations to determine the best design approach for future starships. The NM-class like its brother (NL-class) only had one ship created. It operated within the vicinity of Proxima colony.
The third of Starfleet’s attempt in experimenting with hull designs. The NN-class was the least successful with multiple failures with its nacelles. Within two years the project was scrapped.
The fourth and final attempt by Starfleet to investigate the best approach to starship design. The NO-class would become the bedrock of future designs. Only two ships were created and both were successful. Sadly though both ships were lost during the opening days of the war with the Romulans while defending a convoy of research vessels.
One of the many designs submitted for what would be NX-class, the NP-class’ designs were submitted when it was apparent that Starfleet needed to provide more defence capable ships to protect the ever expanding United Earth Commonwealth. All of the ship’s built have been named after Greek gods and goddesses related to the King of the Sea, Poseidon.

XO/Chief Helm Officer: Commander Oliver Campbell
|Atlas||NP-10||2155||Active||Captain Lianne Porter (Australian Female)|
Heavy Research Vessel
Another design for the NX-class project, this one capitalised on the large amount of space dedicated to numerous laboratories and sensor arrays. It wasn’t designed for comfort and barely had any armaments. Sadly both ships that were created for this class were lost in the opening days of the Romulan War. Both ships were named after characters from plays written by William Shakespeare.
One of the designs that did not get accepted to be the NX-class due to its larger space frame compared to the others. The original prototype was created for a need to defend the Commonwealth, other ships were built to protect other Earth colonies.
|Yorktown||NR-01||2153||Active||Captain Ketai Shosetsu (Japanese Female)|
Another design considered for the NX Project, however was rejected due to its size. Built to be seen as a replacement for other frigate like ships, the prototype suffered heavy computer malfunction which resulted in the ship’s warp core needed to be ejected. Along with the technical difficulties, the ship was not powerful enough for what it needed to be. Starfleet decided not to pursue the design any further. The ship was named for the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin.
Based on a few other designs, the NT-class would be Starfleet’s response for the need to have a smaller dedicated science-based ship that would conduct short range missions. Only four ships were created and after a review it was deemed too expensive to maintain and build this class. All of the ships were named after famous Earth scientists. They were all decommissioned by 2155 and parts were used for other ships.
In attempt to replicate the successful NP-class, Starfleet used the same space frame for the NT-class with a few changes. Initially the class was successful in protecting Earth’s interests as the Commonwealth expanded further. However like its sister ship, the NT, it became too expensive to operate. Preferring to place resources elsewhere the class was scrapped. Most of the ships were named around the theme of ‘fighter’.
One of the most successful designs that Starfleet came up with. The NV-class proved itself to be a starship worth the resources created and to operate it. A majority of the ships are named after some of the early missions led by NASA in the 20th century.

Heavy Frigate (Testbed)
Designed to be the testbed for the NX-class, the NW is slightly smaller than its cousin. The ship had a standard saucer section and the secondary hull similar to the NCC-class. Unfortunately during a test, the ship was destroyed when the warp core breached and killed all on board. Out of respect, Starfleet decided not to carry on using the class.
Deep Space Explorer
The flagship of Starfleet’s decades of working on developing its deep space exploration project. The fastest ships in the fleet, the initial six ships of this class are named after shuttlecraft from Earth’s 20th century.
|Enterprise||NX-01||2151||Active||Commodore Jonathan Archer (American Male)|
|Columbia||NX-02||2154||Active||Captain Erika Hernandez (Mexican Female)|
|Challenger||NX-03||2155||Active||Fleet Captain Lloyd Burton (British Male)|

|Endeavour||NX-06||2155||Active||Captain Krischnan Demetriou (Greek Male)|
Designed as a compact version of other ships that were on the drawing board. This vessel’s versatility and well-balanced approach made it the most ideal candidate to allow for scientific research to be conducted on board. The class was also used to test new systems too. Ships are named after a range from various gods, goddess, myths and legends from Earth’s ancient civilisations.
