April 2020: Character of the Month – Commander Michael Stanton

This month we will be looking at the man that keeps Challenger running: Commander Michael Stanton! The chief engineer who originally was an assistant professor at Starfleet Training Command. Here are five facts about him!

  1. At age 12, he disassembled and rebuilt both of the family’s hovercars, and rewired the entire household computer network.
  2. He was assigned to the Miranda NV-07 for two years while it patrolled Earth’s colonies.
  3. Originally he was meant to become the Chief Engineer of the Discovery NX-04, however Starfleet re-assigned him due to the death of Challenger‘s captain had a significant impact on the originally picked crew.
  4. He enjoys playing tennis and squash!
  5. Even though he is shy to most people, since joining Challenger he has become good friends with the captain and first officer!
